Will Move Moores Hill College to Evansville
The Indiana Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church decided to relocate Moores Hill College from Moores Hill to Evansville Indiana. Evansville offered fifty acres of ground and 500000 cash with a similar contribution from the conference to create a 1000000 endowment. The transfer will make the college a standard Methodist school and a rival to DePauw. Moores Hill residents protested the move but could not stop it.

Death of Herman Ahrens After Long Illness at Home
Herman Ahrens aged 56 died at his home near Schutter's Corner after a prolonged nervous illness. He left a widow, several children, and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at his home and at Adams Church with interment following.

Illness Claims Life of Marie Christina Vierling
Marie Christina Vierling, 18 months, daughter of Matt Vierling and his wife, died Monday night after a brief illness. She had seemed healthy Sunday afternoon but grew violently ill, improved briefly Monday morning, then declined and passed away just before midnight. Services were held Thursday morning at St Louis Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Vierling family receives heartfelt sympathy in this sudden sorrow.
