A Casper welcome greeted a nine-car special train from the Big Horn Basin carrying exhibits and a delegation. Basin financiers Higby Watson Spratt and local bankers led efforts that produced an alfalfa palace and the largest agricultural exhibit in Doughar’s history, aiming to boost immigration, business, and statewide progress.

Wyoming Extension Institutes Seek Northward Growth 1909
A Wyoming legislative move authorizes farmer associations to apply for county funds up to 100 dollars to support institute work. In 1933 the state university grants ten thousand dollars for agricultural extension, with much directed to institute setup. Dixon hosts the final institute on October 8 9 and 10, and sections must notify the university department promptly. The Wyoming football outlook is rising with a larger squad and strong coach amid growing college interest. The Wyoming Student newspaper expands its size by four inches and adds an extra column while continuing to cover athletics life and campus news.

Bastardy Case Heard In Lowell On Fatherhood Claim
County Attorney W. A. Gollins attended a Monday hearing in Lowell on a bastardy case involving Pearl Howe 23 who charged Lorie Jolly with being the father of her son born February 15. The preliminary hearing before Justice Geo W Johnson bound the defendant over to the next court term in bonds of 300 dollars. AR Miller of Chicago, manager of the Wyoming Land Spring company, arrived earlier in the week on company business.

NLL ASK ACTION FROM CONGRESS ON OPENING LANDS
Members of the Progress association met at dinner with Vice President Thompson. Thompson resigned as vice president and Wm. C. Low was elected to the post. A three member committee was formed to press Congress for early opening of withdrawn lands to entry or lease. The group urged nonpartisan support and drafted resolutions to forward to Congress and Secretary Lane. Exhibits for the Chisago land show and Cheyenne fair were discussed along with local farming shows and preparations for state displays.

Outing On Trapper Lodge Weekend Party
