North Bench Wells Near Completion Amid Winter Drilling

Reports from Basin indicate two wells near completion in the North Bench field at about three thousand feet. Five or more oil firms, including Continental Supply and Elk Basin outfits, plan operations as weather moderates, while numerous crews shift locations and prepare new drill sites across Montana and Wyoming.

Horse Thief Caught Near Worland After Complaint

Sheriff locates Wi Lee near Worland on a complaint by F W Bull and Justice issues a warrant. Lee is charged with stealing a sea chest and brine from A H Scoville. The horse and other stolen items were recovered and Lee is brought to trial.

Killed at Greybull as tower fall claims life

Tiethin Kidd, 21, died after a steel tower belt broke on the drop at the Greybull refinery. He fell about 50 feet and died five hours later. Kidd, married about a year, was buried in Burley Idaho per his wife.
