The Basin high school annual commencement exercises occurred last Friday at the Rex theatre. A short band concert preceded the audience singing America and Rev Ward Law's invocation. Glee club performances and diplomas for Miss Fern Young Ruth Shades Gladys Johnston Hugh R Gould and Harold Whitmore followed, with Judge Chas Winter of Casper delivering the address.

The Basin High School Alumni held a small meeting at Miss Kathleen O Neil s home last Saturday night. Miss Hazel Blakesley was elected president Kathleen O Neil vice president H R Gould secretary treasurer and Fern Young assistant secretary treasurer In the absence of Miss Gladys Johnston four members of the class of 1918 attended and the group planned to keep in touch with the school and uphold its standards.

Big Horn County Trustees Hold Special Meeting at Basin

After a band concert the G A R held its annual exercises at Hex theatre with Adjutant S M Stout in charge. Thos M Hyde spoke on liberty vs autocracy, linking Magna Charta and the Declaration of Independence to current struggles, honoring veterans and Dr M G Trauga, and praising the boys of 1861 and those now at war. The gathering then went to the cemetery for grave decorations.
