Confident Of Full Acreage In Sugar Beet Drive
Denver March 30 more than 10 000 acres have been contracted by beet growers with the Great Western Sugar Company at the start of the week. The company expresses confidence in a normal beet acreage and notes it has offered the best contract possible under current conditions. About half a normal acreage has signed up in under three weeks, with contracts arriving at about 7 500 acres daily. Factories are delivering seed this week and farmers are urged to secure seed promptly.
