Planting Sugar Beets Should Start Early in April
Beets should be planted in several districts within two to three weeks with early planting yielding better results when seed beds are good. Delays into May reduce potential returns, and soil conditions must allow a proper seed bed. Aim to have part of the acreage ready by early April and finish planting by the first 10 days of May.
