In Big Horn County Wyoming special master commissioner F C Emerson assigns a contract to Wyoming Irrigation Company for land and water rights foreclosed due to six missed payments totaling 吠 plus interest. The sale occurs March 25 1918 at the Basin courthouse south front door to the highest bidder for cash with proceeds distributed by law. B F Wickwire sheriff. First pub Feb 15 1918. Adelbert Asay files a district court petition in Big Horn County Wyoming seeking to quiet title to the East Half of Lot Two in Block Six in Lowell. The suit challenges prior judgments tied to S A Johnson and Johnson Brothers and seeks to declare those judgments null as liens. Defendants include Dupont De Nemours Powder Co and others. answer due by April 6, 1918.
Roy Suhr writes from prison ship to Basin paper reflecting on his years in the Big Horn Basin. He recalls living near Basin in 1898, helping build the railroad to Basin and riding the first train to Douglas in 1913, and mentions old friends F. E. Judkins and Jack Hanlon.
