Sheriff Wickwire arrested John Franklin O Neill for desertion and sent him to the exemption board for Camp Lewis. Two Filipino men were detained for trial but sent back to Greybull to work in railroad shops. Miss Verona Stewart and Carl Ashley were held after elopement with minor from Worland until authorities arrived. Ashley agreed to enlist and leave the country.

The Mothers and Friends thank donors and Rex Theatre staff for a successful fundraiser. Receipts from dance tickets and lunches totaled 118 dollars with expenses of 25.76 leaving a surplus for the fund. Rex Theatre gave 20 percent of matinee receipts to the group and they donated the amount to the Junior Red Cross. A Christmas film for children was shown and enjoyed.
