Cody to Lead Big Parade at Cody Park Opening

Col Cody will ride in the first car parade marking four days of entertainment in Cody to celebrate the park opening for automobiles. C H Fitzpatrick cashier of the Pioneer Bank was seriously injured after he fell onto a large book in the vault last Friday He was taken to the hospital and after several days there he was discharged and left for Denver on Tuesday for further care The incident leaves him out of work for an extended period

Last week the Republican received inquiries about a cook and housekeeper positions. Saturday morning two inquiries arrived and the next mail brought three more, then Tuesday a man came in seeking the cook. The paper says it is the best medium for reaching people.

The California Oil company received a carload of pipe for the Torchlight oil claim and expects two more cars in the coming days. The pipe is being hauled to Torchlight where drilling will begin once rigs arrive.

Fishing Party Visits Hatfield Home on Tensleep

Mr and Mrs L A Zane Charlie Lott and Mrs Fred House motor to the Hatfield home on Tensleep to enjoy days of fishing and admire the scenery of the country while partaking of Hatfield hospitality. Mr and Mrs W J Stanley visited Crystal from Tilforth ranch on Crystal Creek and were joined by Mrs Wm Tilforth who will stay several days with friends and relatives.

Torchlight Buildings Contract Awarded at Torchlight Claim

M Hime secured the contract for erecting the new buildings on the Torchlight mining claim owned by California Oil Company. The project will employ several workers and take time to finish. Drilling on Shell Creek by C W Nicholson shut down after finding only a trace of oil and some water. casing was drawn last week and the rig will move to another location.
