Destructive Basin Fire Destroys Antlers Hotel Block
A serious Wednesday morning fire in Basin swept through the Antlers hotel and adjacent buildings at Fourth and C streets. Guests escaped in nightclothes as flames, fanned by strong wind, destroyed the Antlers, Easter Market, Cook building, and Bankson warehouse. Grey Bull and Basin State Bank fire crews battled the blaze with help from Mayor Ed Sanders and local workers, saving the block to the south. Insurance values and damages are listed, with repairs beginning late Wednesday. The Basin Chamber of Commerce sent a formal note of thanks to Greybull for rapid aid.

Colts Win Again In Otto Matchup Over Mor Mon Boys
Fred Frisby led the Colts with a revised lineup and a 17 to 3 victory over the Mor mon boys. Rust and Frisby saw action while young George Frisby starred with strong curves and smoke. Gas was turned off this morning to connect the new fourteen inch gun line from Hidden Dome to Greybull. The project, led by T. S Armatrong, was pushed with minimal delay. The line promises Greybull a steady gas supply aiding future factory relocation and growth for the Standard Refining Co. J. H. Stewart visited Basin then headed home to Centralla Missouri after a two week stay with his son Pat Stewart.
