The Basin Boy Scouts led by Rev. Leon A. Losy depart July 17 with 13 scouts and gear. Sheriff Seizes Moonshine Operation at Mangus Ranch
Sheriff Wickwire and deputies raided the Mangus ranch near Penrose and found a twenty five gallon still six barrels of mash and about five gallons of finished moonshine. J B Mangus Clayton Mangus and L English were arrested and bound over to district court in bonds of five hundred dollars each. They await trial in the county jail. Moonshine sales had circulated in Byron Cowley and nearby areas. Attorney L S Strahan of Lovell had business in town Wednesday.
