Regular teacher certificates exam announced for Basin and Lowell
Notice is given that a regular examination for applicants for teachers certificates will be held in Basin high school and Lowell new building on Friday and Saturday July 26 and 27 starting 8 a m. Subjects listed by session and year 1912. Those without certificates should take the exam as no other will be offered until Nov 29 and 30 1912. Teachers institute set for Basin Nov 25-28. Bailey mare missing from Spence area with branding noted
A dark bay mare branded on the left shoulder and weighing about 1000 pounds vanished from June 24. Known as the Bailey mare, a reward of $10 is offered for return to the livery at Basin. Also notes a lost bay and black horse near Spence siding with no visible brands and a public market letter listing prices for grains and livestock as well as Methodist church services at First M. H. church with times and the pastor’s name.
