The dead man, unnamed, had earned wages due and was buried Tuesday in the eastern Lovell cemetery.
Mrs J F Hope and son Rush arrive with W J Jackson and family from Oregon to join J F Hope. They will settle on a large ranch on the upper Greytall and pursue extensive stock raising with emphasis on feeding for market.
Mayor Mizby received a letter from Ben M. Weeds chairing the committee for the Black and Yellow pathfinder tour. The note states the tour will arrive in Hasin on August 20 and stay overnight. A full schedule will be issued soon.
Last Saturday evening the Basin Vand gave a concert that was warmly greeted by attendees. The band members have shown notable improvement in recent weeks and are nearing their peak performance according to local observers.
Father Endres will hold Mass at 10 o'clock and an 8 o'clock evening prayer in Bass this Sunday July 13 with Monday Mass at 7 30. A L Wilson and family depart this morning for Paint Rock lakes for a week long outing.
University of Wyoming summer school offers a varied program with many authorities delivering talks. Hon P P Claxton US Commissioner of Education gave a memorable July 4 lecture on educational work in Laramie en route to Salt Lake City. Tennis courts were upgraded for student recreation as exams approach and social events rise in activity. Burnsville hosts a three day commemoration from July 24 honoring Brigham Young’s Salt Lake settlement with moving pictures by Acme Amusement Company and local participants from Basin and nearby areas.
County Clerk Lou W Iskesley witnessed the marriage license for George KR Clarke and Alina Ray. The ceremony occurred at the courthouse by Justice Bonwell. The groom hails from Yellowstone county Montana and the bride from Kane. The couple left for home that evening amid good wishes from local friends.

An old fashioned Fourth of July celebration was held at Shell with attendees from the surrounding country. Speck amusements entertained the young, and many locals traveled from Basin including O G W Kershner, Harry Yuille, Minne Allen, R P Pearson, and the Loveland families.
