District Court Proceedings Open in Big Horn County
The February term began Monday February 9 with 35 jurors. Jury panels formed as sickness affected reporting. several five mile jurors secured. Verdicts included not guilty in State v Tucker for tires, dismissal in Mortimer v Minnis, and various continuances and rulings on other cases. Boy Dies in Shell Creek Accident Near Moberly Place
Fifteen year old Crossitt Dirks adopted son of Mr and Mrs R N Harlow of Shell opposite the Moberly place drowned last Thursday night after crossing Shell creek and falling into an air hole. His body was recovered Saturday about 150 feet from the spot. A coroner’s jury returned an accidental death verdict.

Basin resident J. P. Arnott Jr reports Basin's $400 mess fund donation to Captain Sawtell of Company C 3rd Wyoming Infantry at Cheyenne on August 7 1917.
