District Court Now in Session at Basin Reunion
Old timers meet again as this term of court opens in Basin this week with many cases to be tried At the annual reunion, district court sessions begin and jurors are summoned for a busy docket in this community event.
Jury Rules Inconsequential docket and wedding noted
District court opened with several cases dismissed and many set for trial from Feb 11 to Mar 5 including Wright and others. A wedding at the groom's grandparents home united Roy W. Kinder and Jennie B. Lampman of Shell. Mc Hog Basin Pioneer Association held its annual meeting with officers elected and a Pioneer lecture by Col. A. S. Mercer followed by a basket supper and old time entertainment. Motion picture actor Joe Ryan was injured in Canon City when his horse tripped and a ensuing riderless stampede endangered him.

A DeYoung of Dewey Oklahoma purchased the pool and billiard hall from Thomas Brothers last Saturday and will operate it in Basin. He comes from the old fields in Oklahoma country and expects a big spring boom, bringing valued business sense to Basin.
