Greezy Letter From a Wyoming Girl Describes California

Edna Carothers writes a humorous travel letter from Wyoming to California noting she left home to report on sights. She recounts arriving Frisco, the Pacific Ocean, Mt Shasta scenery, Los Angeles, and contrasts Wyoming's rugged life with California's climate and urban views. She mentions friends and a visit to the fair, plus a brief jibe at Lillian Russell and a longing for home.

Judge Metz expands Sheridan holdings with Hol land purchase

Judge Percy Metz of Basin adds the Hol land property on North Main in Sheridan, now housing the Bentley and Petrie Clothing company. The $20,000 transaction signals brisk Sheridan real estate activity this winter, with dealers predicting higher prices in spring and summer. The McNeese property Metz bought last week had risen about 60 percent over seven years and paid steady interest. Also noted: cattlemen George Muller and Fred Myers of Burlington drove stock to Omaha.
