A. C. Barnard head of Gebo coal company and county commissioner with Elk and Mason ties died with his wife after a wreck west of a Dover Cut bridge. Their car plunged fifty feet to railroad tracks and was hit by a freight train while help was sought. Bodies sent to Oswego Iowa for burial.

Bootlegger Pleads Guilty in Lovell Raid Case
Phillip Rosenberger, arrested in a Lovell raid last week where liquor was found, appeared before Judge Metz in district court Friday and pleaded guilty. He received a $600 fine and sixty days in jail.
