Data gathering for new Hot Springs County proposal
C. H. Fitzpatrick of Thermopolis visited this week to collect data from county officers for forming a new Hot Springs County. He met with Boa, clerk of the provisional committee, and asked the county treasurer for office courtesy to aid the labors of Fitzpatrick, County Assessor Fouse, and others in the courthouse. Fouse estimates taxable property at about $1,500,000, which combined with Hot Springs may exceed the required amount by law.
