Doctor Takes Conductor Role on Freight Truck Run

Dr W G Dodge of Tensleep arrived with the big freight truck used between Tensleep and the town. He reports Jake Goodrich recently bought the truck from Brokaw and McCarty and will handle freight to Tensleep. Dodge will serve as conductor and engineer, guiding the truck over the hills after repairs in town.

Last Saturday in Basin Jus tices court Mi ron Telmean charged W J Moss W J Howe C T Moore and Wm Wheelock with hindering him from peaceable possession of his Garvin basin homestead. Tolman sons filed on the land after sheepmen moved in, claiming force used against them. Attorneys were Blyen and others to be heard on pleas and decisions.

Farewell Party for Darrs Before Pacific Coast Trip

Thursday evening a large group gathered at Mr and Mrs D J Carrs home for games and conversation. Saties served a buffet style meal from baskets, guests helped themselves for amusement. The event marked a farewell as the Darrs head to the Pacific coast to attend the Governing Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows and visit fairs. A Progress Association special meeting is planned for Monday night to decide on fireworks during the fair, with a call for a large attendance.

Buying Horses in Hy Attvile Tensleep Area

Johnny Thomps on, a Bilings based horse buyer for the French government, has been in the Hy attvile Tensleep region for days purchasing horses of high quality. He notes English buyers are inactive for now, French demand wanes from earlier peaks, and he plans to return soon to buy more. George Allen joined Thompson from Cody country. A new Orwell well in Grass Creek widens oil-deposit area east of expected limits. A baby girl was born Aug 19 to Mrs Paul Lewis Zimmerman of Mamerson. both mother and child well. A baby boy arrived Friday night to Mrs Earl Sprague of Otte. all well. A. F. Eltison, Burling ton farmer and schoolteacher, was in town yesterday. On the race track, Warren Jones will run two racing mares in a circuit including Port Collins, Loveland, Longmont, Pueblo, Casper, Douglas and Denver, with J T Biwest as driver. Dird Grattan, a top racer, has a strong track record from WO years ago. Pau L, the COM, remains well known in the scene.

The rig moved to the A. S. Pease ranch nearby and gas was struck at roughly 800 feet. It is unclear if further development will occur.

Coons Honored At Rock Party In Parsonage

A social gathering at the parsonage hosted by Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Creath honored Miss Lois Coons with pink and white sweet pea decorations. Stockmen plan wolf depredation defense in Hyattville area

Berlin reports Chancellor von Bethmann Hollweg says Germany will give full satisfaction to the United States if a German submarine commander exceeded his instructions in sinking the steamer Arabic. Basin Hosts Joint Teachers Institute Next Week
