The Basin Shale Works owned by Ahrens Brothers begins brick manufacture with a daily capacity of 20,000. Orders already queued promise months of work, creating local employment and boosting Basin’s growth and prosperity through a new brick industry.
The Hoover firm reports brisk inquiries and ongoing sales in the Collins and Higby addition. New houses rise along the southern boundary by Big Horn Oil and Gas, and one builder has delivered stone for a new home. Plans and specs will be published by the Republican 43 once finished.
W A Sizer of the Broadmoor company reports strong sales in Broadmoor acre tracts in the Bircumshaw block offices. He notes upcoming road contracts and street extensions. Mr Boles C Hart selected lots to build and plant a fruit orchard, praising Broadmoor as Basin's greatest real estate proposition for small acreage.
Mrs W E Morris of the Hyatt ville section and wife of a well known rancher remains seriously ill and confined to her home.
Edna Moses daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W Morris of Hyattville is the bride. The couple, followed by a smiling groom, drove away Thursday morning and will stay with Mrs. Morris until her health returns to normal.
