Progress association meeting last Wednesday approved standing committees for the coming quarter with members led by J. B. Thompson. The executive named W. S. Collinge and H. T. Nowell to organize programs while Jill Johnson added to the Buffalo inter state roads speakers. Mrs Elizabeth Bowman announced flax prospects near Fromberg Montana with potential local acreage and a possible factory if contracts reach 600 acres. Members discussed irrigation soil benefits and a cleanup day committee was formed to cooperate with the Woman's club. Carl Wilson reported Germania telephone line progress linking Burlington. The meeting adjourned.

Roosevelt sweeps Illinois in direct primary results
In Chicago on April 10 Colonel Roosevelt swept Illinois in the first direct primary section. His lead grows from 100000 to 150000 over Taft and he carried Taft’s campaign manager William McKinley’s home precinct and Ex Speaker Cannon’s home. Clark defeats other Democratic candidates as LaFollette’s role remains unclear.

Roosevelt Club Banquet Shows Basin Support for Progressives
The Roosevelt republicans of Sheridan county held a large banquet Thursday night with out of town guests. Boles C. Hart of the Basin spoke honoring Sheridan county progressives and pledging Basin support for the statewide progressive movement led by Sheridan county. Hart praised the Basin for backing the Basin and saluted Sheridan progressives for their unselfish fight.

Death of A. A. Feld A. A. Reid of Burlington dies at 22
A. A. Reid of Burlington died Monday morning at 6 40 at Baalu hospital from tuberculosis aged 22. Son of Joseph Reid and Elisabeth Reid he was a well known resident beloved by the community. Funeral held Tuesday in Burlington with services led by Bishop McNiven. Community extends sympathy to the grieving family.

Producing Group Plans Box Marketing of Potatoes
The district three Producers' association met in the library last Saturday to review potato sales and marketing plans. Easter Services Observed Across Basin Churches
Easter services were held in Basin churches with programs largely as published last week. Episcopals Presbyterians and Methodists held services with overflow crowds at the Methodist church. A. W. W.
