State Highway bids called for Summit to Victorville road
The State Highway Commission invites bids to build a 15.7 mile road from Summit to Victorville, to be paved in Portland cement concrete or bituminized macadam. Barstow Boy Laid to Rest With Military Honors
Richard A. Griffith of Barstow was killed in the Argonne on September 28 1918 and laid to rest with full military honors at Live Oak cemetery Monrovia. His funeral followed arrival of his remains in Hoboken September 10 aboard a ship carrying 1500 fallen comrades. pallbearers included Arthur Combs Bart Harvey and John Casner.
