Rand Divide Silver Mine Board Reports First Year

The board of directors of the California Rand Divide Silver mine known as the Kelly mine briefs the first year as of August 1 1920 with 4435 feet developed underground and net profit per ton of 99.58 on 150 carloads smelted. The shaft extends below 300 feet with ore reserves estimated at 1.731 million shipping value and 3.181 million net value. Newly elected officers include Alfred Harrell as president and J M Jamieson as second vice president. 175 cars shipped by August 1 1920 yielding over 750 000 in net profit, while financiers in Nevada and Colorado ridicule a July 1919 forecast of Mojave desert becoming a major silver district.

The Senior class reorganized electing Frederica Dresse as president and Vivian Ashe as vice president along with secretary Inez Howe and treasurer Lelia Duncan.
