W. W. Brison has been appointed division superintendent of the Southern Sierras Power Co for this county. It is reported Barstow Utility Co. will link into the large power chain. Victorville Ranch Shows Concord Grapes Equal to Colorado Quality
D W McPherson reports Concord grapes from his Victorville ranch rival the best in Colorado. Garcelon Ranch seeded 60 acres to alfalfa for a total of 100 acres and will cut a fourth crop this week. Apple and pear orchards at Victor ranch yield large fruit including apples weighing up to three quarters of a pound. Rancho Verde to ship sugar beets to Santa Ana with an estimated 18 tons per acre. Arthur Hull tests well on the mesa near Victorville yielding 50 to 60 inches of water at 400 feet depth. Hull plans to plant 100 more acres of apples and pears next spring. Appleton Land, W. & P. Co. finishes grading 400 acres for alfalfa and will seed this week.
