Delinquent notice issued by Kramer Consolidated Oil Co. at 403 Germain Building Los Angeles lists stock as delinquent for Assessment No 62 levied July 2 1912 with amounts shown opposite shareholder names.
R. C. Hughes a noted Kern River oil figure and associates prepare to drill near Barstow. They recently purchased a full drilling outfit from the Taft branch of Bakersfield Pipe and Wrecking Company and will ship the rig and gear to the field Monday.
Local notices report rooms for rent at the Printer office and two small houses for rent. Mrs. Stauter returns from the coast and Dec is happy. Charley Egan and Miss Christine McDonald return from coast trips and Las Vegas respectively. Senor Perfecto Fernandez and Senora Petra Martinez wed by Judge Wadley. A heavy brick injures Ed Pitcher at the roundhouse. Dr. Anderson attends. A mining arastra project starts near Williams well. pumping plant installed on north Barstow ranch. Social evening honors Miss Stella White with a large gathering and refreshments.
Atolia Mines Bedell received 18 votes while Butler had 2. The Atolia tungsten mines shipped thirty tons of rich concentrates on Monday and employed 80 men. John Hendrick visited old friends in Barstow.
In Needles Butler narrowly leads with 189 votes to Bedell's 58 as Needles casts 197 votes with three autos. Barstow reports 164 votes in the contest.
Cima gave Bedell 18 Butler 00 and Hinkley backed Progressives 14 to 1 against Butler. Oro Grande shows Bedell 22 Butler 10 from 119 registered. Barstow precinct No 1: Bedell 62 Butler 18 from 101 votes. Precinct No 2: Butler 33 Bedell 28 with 21 ballots rejected. Evans the Progressive defeated Kirby.
Vote on Supervisor shows Butler 24 Be dell 15 among 129 on rolls. Fraternal Brotherhood lodge hosted a Saturday gathering after initiating 24 applicants. membership now 54 with 15 more up for Sept. 14. Lewis Joy of Otis is new night pumper. Mrs Joy and daughter in L A for a week. Appleton L and W Co drills a new well south of town. Rock quarry ships a carload daily. Nair finishes a good well. W P Billingsley moves real estate to the telephone room. Lumber for the Victor Oro Grande bridge arrives. Miss Ethel Penn back at post office after 6 weeks out. Two carloads of cattle shipped this week. Apples and pears arriving from nearby farms. Dance at Victor hall Sept. 7. E E Richardson back at desk after outing.
The Dry faction plans to run a candidate against Butler for the Supervisor position in November. The Printer will allocate room for discussion from both sides on the issue.
Daggett went for Bedell 18 to 9 in a Butler district tally. Evans defeated Kirby 19 to 5 in a race noted as Congress Three Socialists.

Card of Thanks from Steve A. Bedell to friends who backed him in the primaries. He carried most desert precincts against Butler but southern mountains precincts opposed him with machine and corporate aid. Official count due Monday likely shows Butler winning the Republican nomination. Bedell may continue the fight or bow out.
A piano is offered for sale for 300 dollars but can be bought for 125 dollars if taken soon. The seller’s address is R. V. Morrow Halleck P. O. California.
At the Pacific mines Bedell received 14 votes and Butler 3 while Evans and Cram Progressives won easily. Ludlow totals show Bedell 12 Butler 7. Manager E C Small is timbering a shaft to the 60 ft level of the Bagdad with about 20 000 tons blocked out. Ore recently struck on the 400 level of the Roosevelt. Shipments will continue as usual.
The band held a strong practice Monday night with nearly full attendance. Several selections were played in good form and more meetings are planned to prepare a concert for the town. Members are urged to attend tonight at Sloan Hart's hall and bring any owed dues.
