Home Destroyed by Fire North of Puzzle Switch
A fire of unknown origin destroyed a house north of the Puzzle Switch and east of the Harry Kelly residence Monday morning. Owned by Art Colcord, it was occupied by the William Brooks family. Laury Wilson alerted Kenneth Marvin, who helped rescue a radio. Marvin sustained minor burns. the fire gutted the home despite quick work by Santa Fe and town volunteer firefighters who saved adjacent buildings.

Girl Seriously Injured As Car Goes Over Bank
Robert Wheeler and Miss Alice Wiest were returning from San Bernardino when a blinding tourist car lights forced their Chevrolet roadster off the Cajon Pass embankment.
