Salt Lake mining engineer reports on Mojave desert
W H Clark a Salt Lake mining engineer returned from examining the Rand Mojave and Barstow districts in California for Salt Lake investors. He cites three activity phases gold boom at small mills a large hoisting plant at Atola and dry washing for tungsten followed by silver. Gold and tungsten values run into millions with a growing silver potential. District geology is granite and schist with rhyolite nearby. Development will need substantial capital as ore depth and crosscutting are required.
