Wanderer Run Over by Train Loses Foot Near Needles
Michael Bermudas, 35, a wanderer, was run over by a Santa Fe train near Needles. His right foot was severed above the ankle. He received emergency care at Needles and was taken to San Bernardino by a fast Santa Fe passenger train. The conductor report cites injuries from attempting to ride the blinds.
