STRESS HAND SIGNALS Law requires clear, visible signals
Drivers must signal at least fifty feet before stopping or turning. The left arm raised indicates a right turn, extended straight indicates a left turn, and downward signals a stop or slow down. Signals must be plainly visible and clearly indicate the driver’s intent. Extending the hand barely beyond the car is not a valid signal.
