Railroad Commission reaffirms cement rate ruling
After a rehearing the Railroad Commission upholds its prior ruling on complaints by California Portland Cement and Riverside Cement against Southern Pacific and other rail carriers. It held cement rates from Colton and Crestmore to Los Angeles and west and north were unjust and discriminatory to the complainants' mills, favoring Monolith, Oro Grande, and Victorville. The commission then dismissed the complaint while amending the later rates by replacing arbitrary with difference in the wording for Monolith Oro Grande and Victorville to points beyond Los Angeles.
