Desert Name for Avenue Protested by Residents
Householders on Fifteenth Avenue protested to the City Council against the name Barstow Avenue recently assigned by the city engineer. They say Barstow evokes desert imagery and is unsuitable for the city’s pleasant, arid surroundings.
