James Peck celebrated his sixteenth birthday at the family home in Daggett with a swim in the local hole and a cake and ice cream gathering. Red Mahood, known for Chevrolet sales in Randsburg, visited Barstow with companion Mr Temple. Temple and Fernandez shipped a carload of gold and silver ore to the Superior, Arizona smelter. the mine lies near Fremont Peak.
