Forest ranger holiday wish list from conservationists
A humorous list from forest rangers and the Automobile Club of Southern California imagines ideal summer behavior in forests. It calls for cigarettes spared from fires, self extinguishing cigars, trash self disposal, newspapers that decompose, bullets rebounding, campsites properly quenched, ash receivers, hunters who only shoot with horns in sight, catch cleaning, respectful sign boards, non destructive nature lovers, and citizens who prevent forest fires.
