Barstow Oil Well Cementing Closes Water Channel
Barstow Oil District Manager Hutchison reports Chicago Barstow Oil Co cemented an 8 inch casing at 1500 feet to seal water. About two tons of cement used with good workmanship. Cement requires about 20 days to set before drilling resumes in two shifts. The drill has penetrated two thin oil sand strata and prospects are strong for high grade oil at a reasonable depth. Drillers take a short vacation pending cement setting.
