Another Bad Wreck on State Highway Near Lenwood
A Sunday afternoon crash three miles west of Lenwood left a Salt Lake City woman severely injured and hospitalized after both cars left their lanes in a dip. The Ford occupants suffered minor injuries. the Dodge driver and riders escaped serious harm. Miss Young, injured, is a Salt Lake City school principal returning from Los Angeles.

Electric Power Line Graduation at Boulder Canyon Dam Site

W. O. Harris, new International President of Kiwanis, will be saluted in his boyhood town of San Bernardino next Wednesday by Barstow Club and Sixth Kiwanis district members. About 300 Kiwanians from San Bernardino Colton Riverside Hemet San Jacinto Banning and Las Vegas are scheduled to attend at the California Hotel at 7 p.m. District plans aim for near full attendance as Harris returns from a Chicago council conference with a potentially important message.

Forming A Permanent Water District Is Recommended
A Mojave River Protection Association member reports support for creating a Water Conservation District under 1927 law. The district would cover landowners along the Mojave and Santa Clara rivers, allow water conservation, and resist Los Angeles encroachment.
