California Railroad Commission Rescinds Power Company Rate Cut
The California Railroad Commission revoked its order cutting The Southern Sierras Power Company income by about 300000 dollars. The change followed a U S Supreme Court ruling in a Maryland rate case affecting depreciation annuities the company argued for but were not allowed. A Los Angeles hearing led to the rescission as the Commission sought compliance with high court rulings. a federal court had issued a temporary restraining order on the rate reduction with a January 31 hearing set to decide on a permanent injunction. No further court action has been announced.
