State Highway surveyors report in West Barstow on First street Puzzle switch crossing river bridge and Waterman ranch area. A river crossing below the railroad bridge would connect highways and Barstow more directly aiding farmers rail freight and access to High School Post Office and businesses. Bridge Gang Helper Injured In Ten Foot Fall
Wm. Bement, a helper in the Union Pacific bridge gang, was sent to Union Pacific Hospital in Los Angeles after a wheelbarrow of cement toppled on him from a ten foot bridge east of Yermo. He sustained three broken ribs on his left side. Doctor Graham, Union Pacific physician, ordered the hospital transfer.

Brakeman awarded 35000 for railway accident injuries
A San Bernardino jury awarded C. M. Criminger 35000 against the Atchison Topeka Santa Fe R R for the loss of his right leg and toes of his left foot suffered in a May 23 1920 crash at Goffs. Criminger, a Santa Fe brakeman, said he rode on a water tank car when a truck moved into the path of the train. The court viewed the scene in Goffs with three Santa Fe coaches last week.

Pretty Birthday Party for Nellie Cooper at Antlers Hall
Nellie Cooper celebrated her fifteenth birthday on a Friday night at Antlers Hall with forty eight friends. Pink and white decor, soft lamp glow, and a Cootie game filled the evening, followed by dancing and refreshments at eleven.
