Leap Year Girls Get Your Man Parade
In a light piece on leap year customs the article traces the history of February and its days, notes that leap year 1928 returns a 29th day, and links the date to women proposing. It cites Puritan precedents, Queen Victoria, Edward VII, and pop culture lore. The Emporia Kansas tale highlights bachelors facing leap year advances, with a roster of eligible men including Lindbergh and other famous figures.
