Linemen Injured After 50 Foot Fall From Tower
J W Caster a Southern Sierras Power Co worker fell fifty feet on a new line near Stoddard's Well injuring a fellow worker Albert Rubidoux. Caster suffered both wrists broken a deep cut above the left eye and bruises. Rubidoux sustained two rib fractures and a head injury after being struck about ten feet above ground by the fall. Both men were treated by Dr Graham and transported to Southern Sierras hospital in Riverside around 1:30 PM.

Funeral services were held for Dr Charles B E Stauter of Tejunga California at Forest Lawn Glendale. A former Barstow resident and Needles mayor, he had lived in Tejunga since 1926. Orrin Ralph McGowan, five, died Sunday February 8 after weeks of serious illness. An autopsy was reportedly performed. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Stephens and Bobbitt funeral home and burial took place in Mountain View Cemetery San Bernardino. He is survived by his parents a brother and a sister.

Teddy Boyd Cunningham infant son of Mr and Mrs Abner Cunningham died Saturday after pneumonia and mastoid concerns or a brain clot. Over a dozen physicians worked to diagnose the strange case. The child was taken to a Los AngelesChildren hospital. Funeral services were held at Neel Towne Funeral Parlors Comp ton with Rev Reid of Barstow officiating. Flowers from friends expressed sympathy. Edmund T Locey a local postal telegraph employee died after pneumonia. Born August 27 1865 in La Salle Illinois he lived in California eleven years including Barstow and San Francisco from 1919 to 1925. A service was held at the Antler Club and his body cremated in San Bernardino after funeral services and Elks Club rites.

Barstow Gas Plant to Start Work This Week
H. J. Laub announces plans to begin construction of a new gas plant in Barstow this week. The facility will sit in the industrial district near the ice plant and Union Oil Co. plant with Santa Fe tracks extending 250 feet to serve the site. Pipe lines will run through the town crossing Main Street at First and Seventh streets.

Woman's Club Fine Arts Program An Evening of Art and Music
The Woman's Club Fine Arts program featured antique items from members and loaned pictures from Beacon Tavern. Mrs George Henderson chaired the meeting with a musical program led by Mrs Ivor Davies. Performers included Junior Marvin Walter Funk Wesley Meek and Mr Groot with Mrs Davies at piano. Rev Reid invited the club to Congregational church services March 8 and a soldier adoption was approved. Next meeting will be Father’s night with a box lunch.

About sixty ladies gathered at the Boy Scout building on Thursday afternoon hosted by the Barstow Woman's Club. New Grandson Presented to Dr Benson
