Last Friday burglars entered Dillingham Bros store by breaking a rear window. They knocked the safe lock off with an ax but could not open it. On Wednesday evening Reece Dillingham reported two men siphoning gasoline from the store truck between the buildings. He identified one of the men. Trona Railway seeks to abandon non agency stations at Borosolvay Magnesium and Spangler in San Bernardino County.

Orange Show Plans Display of Minerals

San Bernardino County plans a major mineral exhibit for the National Orange Show in San Bernardino from February 17 to 27. P. J. Osdick, Chamber of Commerce mineral exhibit chairman, urges mine owners and prospectors to submit samples labeled for mineral exhibit. A county appropriation of 500.06 supports the display to showcase diversified mining. Samples may be left with Henderson & Nicklin Barstow.

Christian Endeavor observations honor the 46th anniversary of the group first organized February 2 1881 at the Congregational church in Portland Maine by Dr. Francis E Clark. Bill Riggs Laid To Rest In Los Angeles Cemetery

William Cochran Riggs known as Bill, died at his Los Angeles home after months of illness. A longtime life insurance salesman, he once led Aetna Life Insurance in sales from Barstow to Los Angeles. His wife cared for him, and his sister Mrs. Clarence King helped arrange his funeral with many friends in the Hinkley district. Mrs King left for Los Angeles to attend the service.

Farmers Merchants Hold Successful Meeting in Barstow

In Barstow at the Antler's Club a January gathering of about 30 farmers and merchants aimed to improve local markets for Mojave River Valley eggs butter and milk. A committee proposed locating Barstow market facilities and Barstow store for grain and chick feed while noting rising alfalfa acreage and expanding shipments to city markets.
