Bowman killed in Cave-in at the Coolgardie Mine

Dr. M Bowman successor to Ben Hemus as caretaker at the Coolgardie mine was killed in a cave-in believed to have occurred Saturday. Bowman lived at the mine and was found beneath earth after a search by Hopkinson the Crufts mail carrier and others. An inquest returned a verdict consistent with the foregoing facts.

Banning Beats Victorville And Barstow In High School Basketball

Saturday December 3 featured two games with Banning represented by its second team defeating Victorville 24 to 6. In the afternoon Banning's first team toppled Barstow 62 to 10. The day included student notices on manners, a Junior dance upcoming December 9, Farm Bureau talks, a monthly assembly, and India letters shared during a reading.

Mrs. D. C. Henderson Dies After Brights Disease

Mrs D C Henderson died at the home of Mrs Geo Fayle in Los Angeles after visiting her sister and mother. She had suffered poor health and Brights disease was the listed cause of death. The news came by telegram as the press went to print.
