Needles Barstow Road Bridge Drive Highlights Debate
The San Bernardino Sun notes progress on the National Old Trails Road bridge at Needles with talks of funding from California and Los Angeles counties after Arizona and federal support. A $75,000 cost is eyed, with $25,000 each from Arizona and federal sources and a hoped-for California contribution, while the project stalls without a financing plan. Vice-president Hutchison is named a delegate to the American Road Congress in Detroit. Barstow briefs cover local personalities, travel, and industry reports.
