Machinery has been installed and printing is provided by The Barstow Printer. They will begin collecting laundry Monday and guarantee high quality work.

Improvements Continue At Hinkley District Farm
Harold C Bailey and Mr Wiseman own 120 acres opposite Hinkley depot. Seventy acres grow alfalfa now with fifty more to be seeded in September. Three wells on the property pump 150 inches of water according to Bailey. Bailey, formerly Burkhard Ranch superintendent at Hemet since 1921, will devote full time to Hinkley. After school ends, Mrs Bailey and four children will move from Hemet to Hinkley.

Last Sunday April 22 witnessed the dedication of the new Community Congregational Church in Barstow costing 21000. Gifts from Long Beach and Southern California Conference plus the National Congregational Building Society funded the project. The service featured sermons by Dr. Henry K. Booth and addresses by Dr. John Gardner and Rev. Henry B. Mowbray with stirring remarks by Dr. Kenngett and Dr. Toomay. Special music and a trombone solo accompanied the day’s solemn dedication.
