Barstow to Dedicate New First Congregational Church

Plans are set for the opening and dedication of Barstow’s new First Congregational Church on Second Street. The $21,000 building seats 300 with services beginning at 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Dr. Henry Kendall Booth will preach the dedication sermon and Dr. George F. Kenngett will speak, with greetings from regional pastors.

P T A Social Meeting Highlights Teacher Talks

The P T A held a Thursday meeting with Mrs Pray Mr Pearce and Mrs Potter presenting. Mrs Potter district supervisor spoke on grammar school study areas as Helen McDonald Leah Chapin performed piano solos and the group sang America the Beautiful and Auld Lang Syne. A district P T A meeting with out of town delegates and state speakers is planned for April 24 from 11 AM to 8 PM and is open to the public.
