New York May 25 Brown the little omat site lightweight stopped Tommy Murphy of Brooklyn in forty seconds of the first round. The fight began with a rush as the men traded rights and lefts to head and body. Brown pressed Murphy to a neutral corner and then delivered a hard right to the stomach followed by a left uppercut that sent Murphy to his knees. A quick uppercut finished the knockout as Murphy remained on the canvas and did not rise before the referee counted.

Alleged swindlers caught in Burlington case abroad
Chief of Police in Harlington reports Ottawa authorities have two men Charles F Curtis and Robert G Champagne under arrest in Canada. They allegedly operated a moving picture swindle by advertising for workers to assist in moving pictures in Vermont and New Hampshire. Prison for Life in New York Murder Case
Bennett J. Rook, charged with the September 9, 1910 murder of N tor ice A. Sivehnell, was found guilty of second degree murder and sentenced to life imprisonment at Sing Sing. The three hour jury deliberation followed evidence that Rook lay in wait, choked the victim, then spent an hour at the boarding house with the slain man's wife, father, and sister before retiring for the night. The following day he was arrested.
