Death of Thomas Desjardins Former Barber Of Barre

Thomas Desjardins died at Union Street early this morning after a two week battle with gastritis. A barber by trade for decades, he previously ran shops on Merchant Street and the John Griffin store basement on North Main. Born in Kamouraska Quebec, he moved to the United States about 30 years ago and lived in Barre since. He is survived by his wife and eight children, with siblings in Quebec. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and the local barbers’ union.
