The inscription accused the president and others of deceiving the nation and urged ending male opposition to women’s enfranchisement in the United States. Barre Receives Transfer of Company C to 1st Vermont Infantry

Death of Samuel Tite Granite Carver in Barre
Samuel Tite an expert granite carver died at his home in The Northern at 8 15 this morning after a long TB illness. He left two children Arthur J L Tite and Ruby F Tite of Barre and is survived by his sister Mrs Lillian Smith of Quincy Mass and his brother John Tite in Quincy, born December 10 1870 in Stalbridge England. He settled in Quincy as a youth, moved to Barre seven years ago, and worked as a letter cutter at the plant of F. and McNulty. He was a member of the Granite Cutters Union. Funeral arrangements await word from his brother and sister.
