Dempsey Delays Training For Willard Fight In Heat
In Toledo on June 1, Dempsey will suspend serious training for the heavyweight title bout with Jere Willard until sometime this weekend due to a unhealed eye wound and extreme heat. Medical advice and manager Buck Kearns favor avoiding rough work to prevent reopening the eye.
