In South Royalton on a June afternoon a nurse named Mrs. Riles Stack died shortly after delivering a daughter to Mr and Mrs Binore Doyle. She felt unwell while assisting the birth, collapsed, and died after being carried indoors. She recently resided with her son-in-law and daughter Mr and Mrs J F Roberts on Dalry Hall. survived by son Edward Slack of Royalton.
In West Hartford on a Sunday evening a group of youths swam in the river when one boy Leon Harrington, 16, disappeared while others watched. His body was recovered downstream. He leaves a mother and relatives. The funeral was held Tuesday and burial at Sharon.
W H Gladding was named president at the Central Association meeting. Rev Charles Doig of Northfield became secretary and treasurer, with an executive committee including Rev A M Bradley of Barre Elia M H Abbott of Stowe and Mrs George E B Wilber of Williamstown.
