The French report continued success east of Sempigny driving back Germans who crossed the Oise. Across the Aisne to Montdidier and along the Oise, fighting stays limited as German efforts push toward the line, while British sectors report raiding without major engagements and French strategists foresee a decisive clash before a potential march to Berlin.
London reports the Germans twice tried to raid British lines in the Morlancourt region east of Amiens but were repulsed. The War Office announced the latest failure after renewed assault attempts.
General Robert B. J. Michie, long time aide to General Hugh Scott, died suddenly on a railroad train near Rouen, France. A native of Virginia aged 54, he served on the U.S. Army General Staff and commanded the 538th Infantry Brigade at Camp Wadsworth before heading to Europe.

President A Badger led the session at 11, reports covered finances showing 457 paid members, $1,759.20 income and $1,889.25 expenses, cash on hand $60.05, and anticipated year need of about $400. Officers and committees were re-elected or appointed, and talks covered corn variety tests, clover, dairying, farm management, and cooperative work. Additional remarks discussed crop values, soybean crops, seed problems, and the cow testing association. The executive committee plans to appoint members. speeches included Milk Producers and Eastern States Farmers’ Center, with a fragmentary talk by G C Levey and a France-frontline talk by Raymond Guyette.
